Yannik Willing (born 1986) likes to go out with his camera to take pictures of strangers and people he knows. His focus lies somehow on documenting sociological phaenomens through getting in contact with human beings and their spaces in a more or less personal way.

Yannik has been awarded for his work as "Konica Minolta young photographer of the year 2006". In 2009 he was winner of the reportage price from the "German Institute for Human Rights".

Beside his work for the german daily newspaper "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung" (weekend publication 580.000) he created a passion for working on his personal projects.

He studies currently the Bachelor Photography programme at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund (Germany). Untill summer 2010 he studies inbetween at the Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen (Norway).
